Once again Nonito "The Filipino Flash" Donaire added a title belt on his record by defeating the South African Jeffrey Mathebula via unanimous decision victory. Judges scored the bout 117-110, 118-109 and 119-108 favored to the Filipino boxer. Nonito added IBF Super Bantamweight title on his current WBO Super Bantamweight title.Donaire finds difficulty to get in in early rounds between 1-3 but at the closing of round 4, Donaire scored a knockdown. A strong left hook counter punch sent Mathebula down, a punch that knocked out Montiel. The knock down was a great factor where Nonito Donaire totally read the style of Mathebula, easily to get inside and throw a punch. The left hand of Nonito contributes a lot that hurt Mathebula a couple of times.
Donaire eyeing Toshiaki Nishioka next and move up to 126 pounds for a featherweight belt.
