Nonito Donaire of Philippines successfully defended his WBC and WBO World Bantamweight title against Omar Narvaez of Argentina on their Saturday night fight at Madison Square Garden in New York, USA. The bout goes to distance which everyone is not expecting to be happened. All three judges scored 120-108 favor to Donaire winning by unanimous decision victory. Omar Andres Narvaez is such a good boxer but I don't know why he can't pull out the trigger to throw good punches. He stepped into the ring for the first time in United Stated but didn't succeed in winning. All he got in the fight was to survived on each round though he knows for sure he has the capability to accept the punching power of Nonito Donaire. It was just like a simple viewpoint that - I have fight this man, a world champion, but he didn't able to knock out me.
Donaire vs Narvaez is just like the Manny Pacquiao vs Joshua Clottey Fight on last March of 2010. Pacquiao throws more around 100 punches on each round but Clottey still keeping his hands up for the defense and not throwing some punches - same as to Omar Narvaez did. Lots of shots thrown by Nonito Donaire was blocked by the defense of calm fighter Omar Narvaez. Donaire's face and eyes kinda look inflamed.
Narvaez earned the first defeat on his boxing career 35-1-2 while Donaire improve his record to 27-1-0. Bob Arum has a great plan for Donaire next year 2012, hopefully will be facing veteran Jorge Arce of Mexico or Toshiaki Nishioka of Japan.
