Denver Cuello vs Carlos Perez Fight, Weigh-in Result

By Jazzer Cuello: After 3 weeks of 3rd round knockout victory against Sebastian Arcos, Denver Cuello of Iloilo, Philippines will be back on the ring on Saturday, October 15, 2011. He will be fighting Carlos Perez of Mexico, 12 rounds, for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Minimumweight title belt at the International Convention Centre, Chetumal, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

Carlos Perez, 12 wins(8 by ko)-3 defeats-3 draws, is the WBC Latino minimumweight champion. He has the record of four consecutive wins. He has the height and reach advantage. While the current WBC International minimumweight champion Denver Cuello, 28 wins(18 by ko)-4 defeats-6 draws, is very determined to win this match in order he can achieve the fight on December 10 against Ganigan Lopez for a world title. Cuello has the speed and power. Watch out the body punch. "I will bring the belt home", Cuello said.

Training

Denver Cuello didn't stop training after the victory against Arcos which was supposed to be Patricio Camacho. He trained at Mexico and sometimes jogged together with Saul Alvarez. He was glad with Canelo Promotions together with his long-time manager/trainer Aljoe Jaro because of the matches being offered to him.
