Philippines - Dodie Boy Peñalosa Jr. defeated Kong Kiatpracha Gym of Thailand via technical knockout victory in the 3rd round at the Mandaue Sports Complex in Cebu City, Saturday night of August 6,2011. D.B. Peñalosa Jr., the son of the former 2 world division champion Dodie Boy Peñalosa Sr. followed the footsteps of his father and uncle Gerry Peñalosa.
Round Fight:
Dodie Boy Jr. made a tremendous fight against the Thai boxer Kiatpracha but the only problem with Peñalosa Jr. was he did not throwing a jabs in the fight. He wanted a one punch knockout but Peñalosa Jr. has the power and speed, a southpaw fighter but also he has the strong power coming from the right.
In round 2, Dodie Boy landed a great combination and one right uppercut in the final seconds of the round. After the 1 minute of round 3, Dodie Boy Jr. landed a right to the left side of the body of Kiatpracha and down on his knees. After the first knockdown, Dodie Boy Peñalosa Jr. keeps the pressure and Kiatpracha down again at 1:32 time remaining and the referee stopped the fight after the left hand of Dodie Boy Jr. connected against Kiatpracha at 0:47 seconds remaining.
Dodie Boy Peñalosa Jr. has 6 wins with no loss and no draws. We will be expecting him to fight in the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez 3 on November 12.
