Akifumi Shimoda, the current World Boxing Association Super Bantamweight Champion will defending his title crown against the current World Boxing Organization (WBO) North American Boxing Organization(NABO) Youth Super Bantamweight Champion Rico Ramos on the undercard of Williams vs Lara bout live at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Akifumi Shimoda of Japan will be fighting outside his country for second time after two years when he fought Mauricio Becerril in Tamaulipas, Mexico on last June 27, 2009. He won tko victory that time in the very first round. Shimoda won his five last fight after the draw bout against Jose Arboleda of Panama.
Rico Ramos has won his 19 consecutive fights in his boxing career, he is undefeated Puerto Rican-American fighter. He defeated Alejandro Valdez on last February via unanimous decision victory.
Weigh-In Result:
Rico Ramos stepped first in the scale and he weighed-in at 122 pounds while Akifumi Shimoda weighed-in at 121.5 pounds.
Akifumi Shimoda vs Rico Ramos will be a great undercard super bantamweight bout, both fighters have quick hands and power punches.
