Juan Manuel Marquez, the current WBO/WBA/ The Ring lightweight champion should fight David Diaz and Timothy Bradley hopefully in the light welterweight division.
Marquez talks to much and can't wait in their trilogy fight with the pound-for-pound king Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. But before that fight will happen, Marquez will face David Diaz hopefully on July 16 this year maybe in a non-title light welterweight division.
David Diaz, a mexican-american fighter who had been a WBC lightweight champion before and been inactive for 10 months since he loss to Humberto Sotto and back last January 28, 2011 defeating Robert Frankel via majority decision. Also, David Diaz loss to Manny Pacquiao via TKO victory in 9th round. David Diaz will be fighting Juan Manuel Marquez if the commission will approve to it.
Juan Manuel Marquez should give a better fight and show what he guts to impressed the fans and boxing community as if it is the key to fight again with Manny Pacquiao.
According to Juan Manuel Marquez, he won the two fights against Manny Pacquiao back in 2004 and 2008. He said he won the first fight which was a draw. Marquez was down three times in the very first round as we remember when he got hit by the strong left hand of Manny Pacquiao and he was not expecting that strong left hand of Manny that time. Juan Manuel Marquez, the counter-puncher answers back in the later round and the fight went to a draw. The fight was clearly showing that Manny Pacquiao won the bout, it was a controversial fight as we/you remember.
After four years, Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao faced off again. Marquez showed his counter-punching style improvement but Pacquiao got a chance in the third round which he threw a left hook and sent Marquez down. Again, Juan Manuel Marquez recovered from a knockdown and he hurt Pacquiao nearly going up in the 10th round. The last three rounds clearly goes to Manny and plus a knockdown score. Manny Pacquiao escaped from a controversial split decision and become the first Asian who won the WBC Super Featherweight championship of the world.
If you look again the fight, Marquez clearly won the fight but the difference Manny scored a knocked down against him which it was big factor in terms of points.
Juan Manuel Marquez style was a difficult style to Manny Pacquiao but Marquez loss to Mayweather in the non-title welterweight bout.
If Marquez will won the fight against David Diaz on July 16, he must face Timothy Bradley in the light welterweight bout before he will take a shot to fight Manny Pacquiao again.
Timothy Bradley, the rising star of boxing sports today and the current WBO/WBC light welterweight champion. Bradley would take a great break with Juan Manuel Marquez if the fight would be happen.
Timothy Bradley is an undefeated boxer with the record of 27 wins with 11 knockouts and 1 no contest. Bradley has speed and power which will be totally fit in fighting Marquez.
Juan Manuel Marquez hopefully take a two great fights, of course he must win it, before entering the Trilogy bout to Manny Pacquiao. It would be probably fighting David Diaz and Timothy Bradley in the light welterweight division and it will be a big factor to Marquez as preparation to a 144 pound catchweight bout to Pacquiao.
The fight of Marquez with David Diaz will fall to July 16, 2011 and Timothy Bradley maybe on November or December "HOPEFULLY" if the subject to be change. The fight with Manny Pacquiao will be fall next year if that things will be happen and I hope so.
These are fights should be consider that Marquez needs proved to his boxing fans as well as the preparation to a comeback fight against Manny Pacquiao in the 3rd time.
